第一張"Top Dog"是今年68歲的芬蘭攝影名師的作品。

於2003年曾被20世紀偉大的攝影師布列松選為一百張"最感人、最有衝擊力、最令人快樂"照片中的首選。

In 2003 Henri Cartier-Bresson chose a photo (first on the left) by Mr. Pentti Sammallahti, a 53-year old photographer then --one of 100 images that the French master found most "stimulating, joyful and moving"-- for his foundation's inaugural exhibition in Paris. A big dog sits high up on a Russian snowmobile, it's ears pricked, king of all it surveys.

*This sunken garden instantly mesmerized me in the late afternoon glow of the setting sun in 1970 when I was a young geologist looking for minerals in the Fraser Canyon and Canadian Rockies. The other-worldly beauty of the place has haunted me ever since.

*I now have come for my third -- perhaps the last -- visit after 48 years. Despite the swarming crowd from all over the world, the enchanting charm of the garden remains.

* Back in 1970, pamphlets of six languages including -- to my surprise then -- Chinese were displayed at the entrance. Today, the pamphlets are in 21 languages!!

*Back then, I was the only visitor of Chinese descent in the garden; today mandarin is loudly heard almost in every corner . How worldly reality never stays the same!

My good friend from five decades ago at Bowling Green State University painted three water colors that have been accepted by Findlay Art Show, among which two were inspired by my photos taken in Morocco, October 2016. What luck for me!

●為了配樂，煩惱兩天。古箏版的滄海一聲笑不夠大氣；古典音樂 Rustle of Spring，聽久了會想跑廁所。今天聽了一早上的大提琴和 adagio (慢板)，最後林先生建議配『與狼共舞』的主題曲，Bingo！
