    印象裡的墾丁是沙灘、遊客、含海水味暖風的地方。2009年9月和2010年2月兩次故地重遊，我對它大為改觀。

       佳樂水的砂岩，在海浪海風雕琢下，可比美北台灣的野柳。它們奇特的造型開啟豐富想像的空間。

墾丁風大雲多，無論陰晴，皆富有氣氛。

    Kenting in my impression was a tourist spot of nice beaches, salty air, and good seafood. That was utterly altered after my trips made in September 2009 and February 2010.

    We stayed at the Ocean Paradise Resort whose owner Lisa is a seasoned world traveler with a particular penchant for the Aegean Sea. She and her brother designed a huge slab in front of the rooms to fend off the gusty wind. On it is a tasty configuration of windows in various sizes and shapes.

    The first sight of the Resort immediately reminded me of L’Eglise de Ronchamp (1956) designed by Swiss Architect Le Corbusier (1887-1965). It was an interesting case of coincidence as Lisa and her brother had not known of that master piece.

    Jaleshui is a rocky beach to the east of the Kenting Lighthouse. The weathering of the sandstone formation has produced some fantastic forms comparable to Yeliu Beach on the northeastern coast of Taiwan. In there, one's wildest imagination is invited to have a party.

    Kenting is a place of wind and clouds. Sunny or otherwise, it is never short of atmosphere.
