3月18日聯合報名人堂拙作"民主病了!"刊登後兩個月，5月19日紐約時報名評論家David Brooks 也有類似感嘆：1.全球民主倒退(有缺陷的民主增為52國)。 2. 美國民主：癱瘓、停滯、故障。而他羨慕新加坡和中國的政體的優點是：有遠見、決策快、有辦法/有巧思。但後者缺點在於：貪腐。他對民主的藥方也是提升菁英影響力在上層(國家政策制定)，因為群眾無遠見。但他也建議：提升群眾影響力在地方階層。個人淺見是：他沒提到心靈、道德、榮譽、同情心等內在修為的藥方。民主之病恐怕仍然無解。無論如何，這是一篇值得讀的好評論。敬請參考。

  航母對共軍建軍發展及區域安全之影響

摘要

        共軍航母試航距離形成戰力還需相當時間。蘇聯不具完整航母建造與使用經驗，共軍以蘇聯模式發展航母，是無法取得西方科技的次佳選擇。共軍航母戰鬥群可能從現有艦艇搭配，再視實際運作情況向更專業分工發展。從蘇聯航母發展經驗展望共軍航母未來，共軍不足挑戰美國航母優勢。周邊國家採取政經分離政策，經濟上與中共不可分離，政治上建購潛艇與超音速反艦導彈因應共軍航母時代來臨，共軍航母要走向遠海似乎不太容易。
